Acorn Health Services offers Medication Assisted Treatment for addiction. Dr. Liebermann is Board Certified in Addiction Medicine and has been treating patients with addiction since 2006. We offer treatment for Opioid Addiction (opioid use disorder) with Suboxone (buprenorphine/naloxone), and Vivitrol (extended release injectable naltrexone), and Alcohol Use Disorder with Vivitrol, Campral as well as off-label options including topiramate that are supported by evidence.  Patients get individualized treatment that may also involve treatment for mental health conditions, and chronic pain that may be co-occuring with addiction. Dr. Liebermann recognizes that addiction is a brain disease, and there are many factors involved in addiction that are beyond the patient's control. Genetics, Trauma, and Mental Health conditions have a strong correlation with addiction and are factors that are beyond the patient's control. While treatment and motivation are the responsibility of the patient, we understand that it is not the patient's fault that they have an addiction, and we show compassion for everyone.
